Diamond encrusted blue boulder opal ring

Stunning Blue-green boulder opal ring with six small diamond adjuncts set in 14k yellow gold to enhance the beauty of the opal itself. The stone is offset on the band giving an interesting and unusual effect.

Boulder opal ring description:

This gorgeous blue-green black boulder opal has been set in 14k yellow gold with 6 small diamonds. This black boulder opal was mined in a place called Winton which is at the northern end of the famous boulder opal fields in Western Queensland. Please note that the video shows some pink and purple colors in the blue but the stone really is blue like the other graphics. Sometimes the amazing colors in opal plays tricks with the camera which is difficult to control

These stones which were probably the first black opals found in Australia in the middle of the 19th century.

They are similar to the Lightning Ridge Black opal except that they have dark brown ironstone back instead of black potch.
