I am interested in Opal Unset 0033. What is the correct weight? Do you have better pictures of all sides? Is it priced in US dollars ($1000)? Is that negotiable? Is there any tax or charge for shipping to the US (Virginia)?
David, many apologies. Somehow the size and the weight of the opal were listed incorrectly. its actually 12×7 mm and 2.35 carats. Of course the dime coin helps identify the size. Its a magnificent blue green black opal. The color is becoming rare as are all black opals because Lightning Ridge production is nearly at a standstill because of new fields not being found. I cannot reduce the price because the freight is included in it. I am not sure of your state taxes but i send many stones to the USA and customers have never complained about this. it seems to go through without hesitation. possibly because of the free trade agreement between the USA and Australia. However, what i will do is include a couple of small matching black opals that you can use for earrings if you ever want to. Opal can be sent by yellow bag. sometimes it takes two days but mostly next day. Terry, yes but it depends on how large you want the opal offcuts and often there is very little color. its pretty mixed.
