Opal watches can be that one accessory that transforms your outfit from drab to fabulous with minimal effort on your part.

Varieties of Opal Watches

You can choose between watches adorned with numerous striking opal stones or go for one that features an opal face. Whichever you choose, the results are sure to be arresting.

Some precious gem stones are more aligned to one gender more than another but opals look great no matter who they adorn: men can carry off beautifully crafted opal watches with as much flair as women and there are indeed innumerable styles to suit every single preference.

Classic opal watches will add the perfect touch of glamour to any outfit and they are thus an excellent choice for everyday use as well as for special occasions.

Having said that, it must be mentioned that some of our more posh opal watch styles feature a leather band which will in time show signs of wear so the owner might consider using it on special occasions rather than at the workplace.

Opal Transforms the Timepiece

Opal watches present a great way of turning your timepiece into a jewelry item, especially if you are not all that fond of cumbersome jewelry.

These precious opal stones will transform a regular watch into something stylish yet classy and the good thing about it is that the cost is quite minimal when compared to some of the ‘named’ brands of timepieces.

You will notice at opalmine, that some of our opal watches are ‘Pierre Cardin’ as well and this adds a little more to the reputation of our styles.

In every style and color

Opal watches can be adorned with a wide variety of opal colors being constructed from slices of crystal opal set in a black background. This gives the effect of high grade Lightning Ridge Black opal and looks absolutely stunning.

Guarantees on all our opal watches (not just for a year)

Naturally, all our opal watches are guaranteed for a year, but it must be pointed out, that unlike many suppliers, we are always interested in our customers no matter how long ago it was that they made a purchase from us, so if you ever have a problem, please feel free to contact us and we will turn ourselves inside out to help you.

We try to treat our customers the way we would like to be treated, even if it’s just to offer you advice as to what can be done if you have a breakage

Common things that go wrong with watches

Usually it has something to do with the band or the battery. It’s good advice to not wear your investment opal watch in situations where you could catch the band on something sharp.

I’m sure most of us have had the experience of ripping a watch off our wrist on something like this. Usually it’s the Spring Bar that holds the band on to the watch that gives way. You can find replacements for these here.

How opal faced watches are manufactured

Diamond equipment and carborundum grit is used in the preparation of bright pieces of solid crystal opal which are sliced into thin slivers.

These small slivers are meticulously assembled in mosaic format to produce a large area of opal which can be fashioned into squares or rounds to suite the style of the watch.

This color incidentally is identical to high grade black opal to look at, the main difference being that it’s the black background setting that give the opal watch it’s depth of electric color.

These watches represent the new-age way to show off precious gemstones, particularly the Australian opal; by choosing a watch over a necklace or a pair of earrings you are guaranteed to get more use out of your jewelry.
Time becomes a secondary consideration to the beauty displayed by these magnificent time pieces which are really gemstone bracelets and the addition of opal stones creates a talking point which, now that you have been able to learn a little more about them, will put you in a position to inform others.
