Opal Bloke eBook download

The idea for The Opal Bloke eBook download started in what looked like a farmers paddock with a few holes in a place called “Koroit” west of the town of Cunnamulla in western Queensland.

Koroit is a field that produces boulder opal similar to what is found in the famous town of “Yowah” where the boulders come in small pieces roughly similar to nuts. hence the term “Yowah nut” a collector’s item.

Opal Bloke eBook download, an eBook in which Peter will guide you through the different types of rough opal available and the best kind to learn to cut. you also get a bunch of practice opal for free and sometimes this material produces some surprises.

The beginnings of the Opal Bloke eBook download

Peters opal cutting experience was a mixture of ideas found in opal cutting books and in talking to the old guys in the industry who, with quite primitive machinery, were able to produce some amazing gems.

those years with a wife and young family and very little money, Peter had to fabricate machines from very inexpensive components so a lot of his early opal cutting was done very successfully on these machines. Replacing them with more modern diamond impregnated wheels didn’t make much difference to the finish except to make the process quicker.

The results of all this experience has been written in the Opal Bloke eBook download under the title “The ordinary Bloke’s guide to opal” which Peter sold as a CD for many years and is now making it available to all visitors to opalmine.com

Along with this book, you can watch the opal adventure movie available online here

Opal cutting can be quite a lucrative occupation and it is not unusual to be able to work on some rough opal and turn the purchase price into double the outlay. And the good thing about it is that you can do it in a small space in your home garage or shed.
